Responsibilities:

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating the daily activities of the warehouse, including material handling and the organization of finished products within the warehouse.  The warehouse lead is responsible for ensuring orders are picked and filled correctly in a timely manner, and the warehouse is organized and safe, and personnel is adequately trained. Work and coordinate closely with the Production Supervisor, Shipping and Receiving Supervisor and Warehouse Manager.

Primary function:

·       Lead and coordinate the activities of all workers involved in picking and pulling orders

·       Verify and keep records of orders ready to ship

·       Verity incoming orders, and other records.

·       Oversee incoming shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.

·       Organization of the Warehouse.

·       Participates in Companywide inventory activity.

·       Determines space requirements for all finished goods.

·       Inspect trucks for HACCP compliance.

·       Assure that all workers are complying with all Company safety regulations.

·       Inspect and conduct safety inspections of all material handling equipment for defects and notify the Warehouse Supervisor for directions.

·       Will assist and/or perform the duties of the workers in shipping in their absences or as needed.

·       Perform all other duties as required by the Warehouse supervisor to avoid disruption in the work process.

·       Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Director of Production Operations

·       Report any food safety concerns to the warehouse supervisor and QA management

Requirements:

·       High school diploma required

·       3+ years’ experience in a warehouse environment preferred

·       Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred

·       Strong computer skills

·       Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

·       Able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

·       Experience utilizing various warehouse equipment, including, but not limited to, forklift, shrink wrap machinery.

·       Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and products up to 50 pounds and moving 300-pound barrels. 

Typical Physical Activity:
Physical Demands consist of standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, grasping, stooping, and lifting 50 lbs. Physical Demands consist of the ability to move rolling carts of varying weights - up to and exceedingly approximately 250lbs. Physical Requirements consist of being able to meet the physical demands for the entire shift.
