Job Description:

Department Overview

The Treasury and Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) FP&A team is part of Finance and supports financial planning, forecasting, reporting, analysis and management insights for TBSM P&L within the Corporate Segment. The team provides transparency, governance and decision support across monthly results, quarterly forecasts, annual Plan and medium-term outlook processes.

The TBSM FP&A team works closely with partners across Intersegment FTP, ALM, Investment Analytics, Capital, Liquidity, FinOps, Enterprise Decision Support and Corporate Segment Finance. The team helps explain TBSM financial results and forecast movements, ensures key drivers are understood, escalates risks and produces management materials that are clear, accurate and decision-useful.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to deepen expertise in TBSM-related financial reporting and FP&A while taking on manager-level ownership of complex deliverables and stakeholder-facing analysis across topics such as liquidity residuals, margin differential, excess capital, non-common capital, OAOL FTP, hedging results and forecast methodology changes.

Job Description

The Finance Manager will play a lead role in delivering high-quality reporting, forecasting, planning, analysis and financial insight for TBSM P&L. The role is accountable for translating complex TBSM drivers into clear Finance narratives, coordinating deliverables across partners, and supporting monthly and quarterly materials for Finance and TBSM leadership.

The successful candidate will be expected to operate with a high degree of ownership, judgement and analytical discipline. This position requires stronger independent leadership of deliverables, proactive stakeholder management, ability to challenge assumptions, and coaching of analysts or junior team members supporting the portfolio.

  • Analyze financial results against forecast, Plan, prior periods and run-rate expectations, and identify key drivers, risks and areas requiring follow-up.
  • Develop concise, executive-ready commentary explaining TBSM P&L drivers, including liquidity, capital, FTP, hedging, investment and management reporting impacts.
  • Coordinate forecast and Plan submissions across TBSM partners, EDS, FinOps and Corporate Segment Finance, ensuring dependencies, assumptions and timelines are well managed.
  • Lead recurring deliverables and ad hoc analysis related to TBSM P&L, Corporate Segment reporting and management reporting implications.

  • Investigate variances and forecast movements with curiosity, discipline and appropriate challenge, including follow-through on root causes and implications.
  • Build and maintain a robust understanding of how TBSM activities flow through financial reporting and management reporting views.
  • Identify drivers of movement across key P&L lines and connect financial outcomes to business activities, methodology changes and balance sheet dynamics.
  • Lead scenario and sensitivity analysis for forecast or Plan changes, including impacts from methodology changes, rate movements, liquidity assumptions or management reporting refinements.
  • Synthesize complex analysis into practical insights, recommendations and clear messages for senior Finance and TBSM stakeholders.

  • Act as a trusted Finance partner and subject matter contact for TBSM-related FP&A questions within the Corporate Segment Finance mandate.
  • Develop strong working relationships with TBSM, Intersegment FTP, Liquidity, Capital, ALM, Investment Analytics, EDS, FinOps and Corporate Segment Finance partners.
  • Proactively manage hand-offs, assumptions, deliverable timelines and open issues across partner teams.
  • Communicate issues, risks and decisions clearly, escalating appropriately when analysis identifies material forecast, reporting or control considerations.
  • Provide thoughtful challenge to inputs and assumptions while maintaining a collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
