Pay Range: $20.96 to $30.41
Shift: Variable
Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker's gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.

Benefits
$5,000 sign on bonus
Get paid while attending school and your tuition is paid for.
3 weeks paid vacation- First year
  • 40 hours at 90 days

Basic job responsibilities of the Delivery Assistant position include, but are not limited to:
  • Assisting with unloading up to 30,000 pounds of product at our Kwik Trip Stores
  • Placing products in the correct location (cooler, freezer, backroom)
  • Being able to work with minimal supervision, in a safety conscious environment, and in a variety of weather/temperature conditions

CDL Delivery Assistant/CDL Driver Trainee Requirements:
  • At least 21 years old to be a Delivery Assistant and CDL Driver Trainee
  • Excellent driving record in accordance with Kwik Trip's driving matrix

Specific CDL Driver Trainee Requirements:
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Ability to meet DOT requirements upon the completion of training which include, but are not limited to a DOT drug screen and DOT physical
  • Willing to sign contract to enter Kwik Trip's CDL Tuition Reimbursement Program
  • Commitment to accept a driving position with Kwik Trip upon completion of apprenticeship

Physical requirements: Sit up to 6 hours at a time; stand up to 2 hours at a time; bend/reach/twist/stoop/squat frequently; lift up to 75 pounds to waist level occasionally; lift up to 70 pounds to 60 inches occasionally; lift up to 40 pounds to 72 inches frequently; carry 90 pounds occasionally; push/pull up to 100 pounds of force occasionally.
Work Schedule:
Trainees average 40-60 hours per week and follow schedule of the route driver they are assisting.
Established route drivers will work a 4 days on, 2 days off rotating schedule, including holidays. This means every 7 weeks you would have both Saturday and Sunday off. Drivers typically work up to 50-60 hours per week and must be able to work a day shift schedule with a start time 3pm.
16-week CDL Training Program Includes:
Candidates will start as a Delivery Assistant for 6 weeks learning the technique of delivery. Schedule would be a 4 days on, 2 days off rotation, approximate 3pm start time.
The following 4 Weeks: Coworkers will complete the CDL training course, your schedule will be a day shift as you attend classes Monday through Friday.
Second 6-8 weeks: Once promoted to a CDL Driver Trainee. The schedule will be a 4 days on, 2 days off rotation, with an approximate 3pm start time working with Kwik Trip Trainers. At the end of the 8 weeks you will set your seniority.
Applicants must live within 60 Miles & 60 Minutes of Deforest, WI to qualify.
