Location: Department 797
Pay Range: $20.96 to $30.41
Shift: Daytime
Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker's gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.
Join Kwik Trip, Inc.'s Store Engineering Department as a Delivery Driver where you will be responsible for the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of equipment/fixtures and materials from vendors and Kwik Trip retail locations. This person will also work in the Store Engineering Warehouse where he/she will:

  • Load and unload warehouse supplies and equipment
  • Verify purchase order requests and track warehouse inventory items
  • Operate forklifts and comply with all OSHA and DOT safety requirements
  • Maintain log books and vehicle inspection reports
  • Work closely with several Kwik Trip Departments
  • Assist with the organization and upkeep of the Store Engineering Warehouse.
Work Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday, daytime hours; however, it may include occasional evenings and weekends. It may also include occasional overnight stays.
Qualifications:
  • Candidates must have a valid Class A CDL with a good driving record; prior commercial driving experience is required.
  • Candidates should also possess the following:
    • knowledge of vehicle maintenance and operation to identify and diagnose potential mechanical challenges
    • ability to operate a piggyback lift to load/unload trucks
    • familiarity with the surrounding area to facilitate timely pick-ups and deliveries
    • demonstrate a high level of customer service as this person has primary interaction with retail locations
    • demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
    • understand and accurately complete invoice paperwork
    • self-motivated and a team player
    • willingness to learn/perform a variety of job tasks
    • ability to exercise sound judgment within company guidelines
    • work with minimal supervision
    • work in a fast- paced safety conscious environment
    • willingness to work in all temperature conditions
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ability to operate a personal computer
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn Maximo
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Previous warehouse and forklift experience is a plus
  • Must live or relocate to the La Crosse, WI area

Physical qualifications: Sit up to 6 hours at a time; stand up to 2 hours at a time; bend/reach/twist/stoop/squat frequently; lift up to 75 pounds to waist level occasionally; lift up to 70 pounds to 60 inches occasionally; lift up to 40 pounds to 72 inches frequently; carry 90 pounds occasionally; push/pull up to 100 pounds of force occasionally.
