Position Summary

The Logistics Customer Relations – Ford Delivery Coordinator is responsible for managing outbound logistics and supporting customer demand requirements for multiple Ford North American facilities, as well as other assigned non-Ford locations. This role is highly collaborative and requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 

 

Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities 
• Monitor customer demand for assigned Ford and non-Ford facilities. 
• Ensure accuracy of demand data and respond quickly to fluctuations or changes. Communication and Coordination
• Participate in daily logistics meetings to review customer status, shipments, and open issues. 
• Communicate order status, shipping details, and issue resolution updates directly to customers.
• Coordinate internally with scheduling, production, shipping, and materials teams regarding part shortages, schedule changes, and supply chain concerns. Logistics Execution
• Support trailer load planning and optimize routing to ensure timely delivery. 
• Understand and assist with ILVS sequencing and cumulative reconciliation as required.


Skills Knowledge and Expertise
                         REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• Prior experience supporting Ford facilities (KTP, KCAP, and Service-Dearborn). 
• Knowledge of 862/830 EDI transactions and cumulative reconciliation processes. 
• Familiarity with CMS ERP system or similar manufacturing ERP systems. 
• Understanding of Ford transportation routing, trailer load patterns, and overall supply chain operations. 
• Experience with Ford-specific systems and portals -   Ford Supplier Portal (FSP): 3270 Access (DDL), eDDL, Global Logistics, MP&L in the Box, ASCENT, Supplier Learning Institute, GPIRS DDL 
• Other Ford tools: Covisint/OpenText, DETC, SNC (FCSD-NA Supplier Network Collaboration), SUPERG/SIM Technical Skills
