American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Salem, Massachusetts.

Description

American Traveler is seeking an M/S Tele Float Pool RN with active MA licensure and telemetry/cardiac monitoring experience for a night shift, every-other-weekend float position across multiple hospital units.

Details
  • Float pool position requiring willingness to work across 8 different Med/Surg Tele units including Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow
  • Care for ED border patients, serve as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and provide care for non-vented, transfer-ready ICU patients
  • Clinician to patient ratios up to 5:1 on days/evenings and up to 6:1 on nights
  • Units range from 8 to 41 beds within a 371-bed hospital
  • Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30) with every other weekend required
  • 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract if primarily scheduled days/evenings
  • Uses EPIC EMR for charting
  • 36 or 48 hour weekly schedule options available
Requirements
  • Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
  • AHA BLS certification required
  • 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required
  • 2 years of experience working as a Traveler required
  • Telemetry monitoring experience including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours
  • TR Band experience required
  • Must be able to perform cardiac drips and read tele strips
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

  • Responsible for cardiac monitoring, administering cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips
  • Free on-site parking available
  • Local candidates accepted with a permanent residence within 60 miles of the facility, subject to a reduced pay rate
