KPMG is currently seeking a Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join our Development & Exempt Organizations practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide tax compliance and/or advisory services to tax-exempt organizations
  • Work as part of a dedicated team of experienced exempt organization professionals
  • Build and manage a portfolio of client relationships of varying size and scope and act as the point of contact for internal and external clients
  • Guide teams of professionals working on client projects
  • Manage risk and financial performance of engagements including billings, collections, and project budgets
  • Lead, participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Manager:

  • Manage teams of tax professionals and assistants working on client projects
  • Participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm
Qualifications:
  • Minimum five years of recent focused exempt organization experience in an accounting firm, organization, and/or law firm
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
  • Licensed CPA, EA, JD/LLM or completion of one of the following advanced degrees or professional designations: PHD, DBA, MBA, MDS, MEC, MED, MTX, MIE, MPOD, MPH, MHA, MPAD, MIR, MNPM, MPP, MIAFF, CSA, ARMC, CFA, CFE, CFF, CGFM, CHC, CIA, CMA, CNPM, FRM or CMI, in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that list
  • Strong knowledge of tax law preferred
  • Experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to articulate complex information
