KPC Promise Hospital of AMARILLO: provide routine nursing care and services that support the care delivered to patients/residents requiring long-term acute or transitional restorative care, in accordance with the established nursing care procedures and as directed by the nurse.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Diploma or Equivalent;
2. Must hold a current CNA state Certification and must maintain Certification renewal in accordance
with the standards of the regulatory agency;
3. Prior experience in healthcare preferred;
4. Basic computer skills as evidenced by knowledge of Internet and Email;
5. Must be able to read, write, and speak English;
6. BLS certification through American Heart Association;
7. ANSI Food Handler certification, if required by state regulating body.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provides general aspects of patient/resident care that meet psychosocial or physical needs or both
simultaneously, within the CNA's scope of practice to include but not be limited to: feeding, bathing,
and dressing patients/residents; assisting with toileting; taking vital signs; serving meals; making
beds; keeping rooms tidy; setting up medical equipment and assisting with procedures; answering
call lights for help; and observing and reporting changes in a patient/resident condition or
behavior;
2. Meets current documentation standards and completes within shift;
3. Practices established infection control procedures;
4. Basic computer skills as evidenced by knowledge of Internet and Email;
5. Maintains confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information;
6. Works ethically and demonstrates good customer service;
7. Arrives promptly, regularly and reliably for assigned work schedule;
8. Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Performs other duties as assigned.
