Job description

The Korte Company is seekingan experienced ProjectScheduler.Individualwill work as lead oncommercial constructionprojects to perform scheduling responsibilities. Willbe responsible forthe assembling and analyzing of project information while improving the efficient planning and scheduling of projects. Will develop detailed schedules with the project team and trade partners. Willmonitorprojects in accordance to set schedules based on departmental procedures. Willbe responsible forthe input, analysis, and monitoring of design deliverables,procurementand construction schedules. Will develop internal and external reports describing project status. Work will require application of planning/scheduling and cost techniques and methods based on level of experience and will involve substantial evaluation, analysis, and modification of such standards in problem-solving efforts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Produce preconstruction and proposal schedules.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software.
  • Primavera P6 database management and maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Project scheduling software.
  • Facilitate project team planning sessions.
  • Development of the baseline overall schedule using well-defined and properly sequenced work activities.
  • Oversee all project scheduling activities and provide required status updates, forecasts, andreportsas necessary.
  • Develop project schedule layouts in conjunction with the project team, alternateschedulesandprogressmeasurement of the schedule.
  • Verifyingthat the updates arean accuraterepresentation of the workaccomplished.
  • Understand the flow andlogisticsneeded for the execution of the project.
  • Supports ongoing projects by working with the project manager and discipline leads on project status,identifyingopportunities for improvement,delaysand areas whereadditionalconcentration is required.
  • Recommending work around plans to keep the project on track.
  • Perform other duties as requested by project management.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and statements of work in the preparation and acceptance of usable Baseline schedules for construction.
  • Monitor multiple project schedules being developed and updated by Operations staff and provide guidance as necessary.
  • Interact with the Operations team and representKorteand its partners in the best manner to owners,subcontractors, and their representatives.
  • Utilize analytics toidentifyand report on project trends.
  • Effectively cost andmanpowerload schedules for use during the execution of the project.
  • Evaluate the actual construction statusrelativetoproposedplan.
  • Analyze and communicate the impact of changes to the schedule.
  • Prepare Time Impact Analyses per recommended practices by commonly accepted standards.
  • Travel to project sites.
  • Develop and deliver specialized Planning,Schedulingand other Project Controls training forKorteCorporate University
  • Critique, create, and recommend improvements to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Be responsible forspecial projects and other departmentaldutiesas necessary.

  • 3-5 years of PrimaveraP6experience isrequired
  • Past experienceinprojectorganizationand scheduling whileremainingwithinbudget
