Konami Gaming is looking for a Staff Accountant II to join our team!

This position is responsible for financial information and analysis. The Staff Accountant applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports and analysis. This position performs moderately complex accounting work such as analyzing accounts, maintaining daily, monthly, quarterly and annual account reconciliations, reviewing financial statements, and working with internal and external auditors to ensure timely and efficient audits are completed. This position requires the ability to use personal judgement and discretion about overall accounting and department/company policies and procedures. This position also requires flexibility to always act autonomously while adhering to overall department and company policies and procedures.

What you'll be doing:

Reporting and Reconciliation / Audits:

  • Prepares and/or reviews external financial reports including quarterly/annual government and regulator reporting, and the annual audited financial statements.
  • Assist in preparing all cash reporting, including daily reconciliations, weekly cash flow reporting, month end journal entries, and monthly cash flow reporting.
  • Responsible for revenue reporting including weekly revenue exception review.
  • Prepares all cash schedules for external and internal audits.
  • Assists in external audits and internal quarterly/annual audits.
  • Prepares required schedules for all audits.
  • Assists Controller, Manager or Sr. Accountant in preparation of Monthly Reporting Package to Headquarters.
  • Responsible for Singapore and Macau Branch Financials.
  • Works closely with external and internal auditors to ensure efficient and timely completion of quarterly/annual audit procedures.
  • Prepares required schedules for all audits.

General Accounting / General Ledger:

  • Responsible for the company's fixed assets including fixed asset system maintenance and tracking, depreciation journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Responds to questions and research complex accounting issues as required.
  • Work proactively on being an Accounting and Finance Business Partner to all functional areas.
  • Responds to questions from other departments regarding financial reporting matters.
  • Assists in data preparation for jurisdictional licensing and renewals.
  • Responsible for prepaid amortization and tracking.
  • Compiles, maintains and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and documenting business transactions.
  • Devises and implements system for general accounting; may be required to make recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures.
  • Maintains various accounting statements and financial reports, demonstrates general knowledge of payables/receivables, invoices, purchasing, expense reports, discounts, and cost centers.
  • Provides analysis on inventory accounts including overhead calculations, over/under utilization and allowance.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned by Accounting and Finance management.
  • Reports any discrepancies, changes or recommendations, and/or problems for resolution to management.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

What we'll want you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration,Finance, or Accounting from four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience in the Gaming Industry a major plus.
  • Advanced understanding and experience with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.
  • Must be able to communicate professionally and efficiently (verbal and written) with all levels of the business.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain gaming licensure.

Work Environment:

  • Full-time / 40+ hours per week. Must be flexible to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Must be comfortable working in an area with limited working space for long hours with the ability to remain seated at a computer terminal for extended periods of time. Extreme repetitive motion using keyboard, mouse, and telephone. Must be able to work at assigned location to enable direct communications and interactions with team members, management, and others as necessary, unless traveling for a business-related purpose. Position can be high stress and extremely fast paced. Ability to handle directives, assess situations, enter dialogue and complete tasks. Must be able to communicate verbally and write in English.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a high-stress, fast-paced, and high-pressure environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy, paying attention to detail, and meeting assigned deadlines. Demonstrates high integrity, trust, and strict confidentiality. Ability to maintain excellent communication and a positive, respectful, and professional attitude and relationship with clients, employees, peers, co-workers, all levels of management, and all outside organizations conducting business or otherwise interacting with the company. Ability to always act autonomously while adhering to overall department and company policies and procedures.
  • Position shall work primarily in a smoke free office environment. The noise level is low to moderate. Position shall maintain a cubicle or office in close proximity to other cubicles and office.
