Job Overview

THETEAM is looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Brands & Properties Global Account team. We are looking for an ambitious Planning & Operations Manager that would be responsible for supporting the operations, systems, administration and commercial side of the Global Account team. The Global Accounts team specializes in delivering insight and data-led strategies, activation and measurement services in the areas of sponsorship, sport, entertainment, and culture, globally.

What You'll Do

  • Own financial process for account partnership payments, including tracking incoming and outgoing payments across a portfolio of partners.
  • Monitor account cash flow and payment schedules to ensure the business remains financially healthy and does not operate at a deficit.
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to manage large-scale partnership payments with a high degree of accuracy and accountability, and ensuring all contractual obligations and deadlines are met.
  • In collaboration with and in support of the Accounts Payable team, assist with supplier set-up and maintenance of vendors, including reviewing and approving new supplier requests, checking questionnaires, required tax forms (W-9s), and bank details for electronic payments. Respond to supplier inquiries and address payment-related questions and issues.
  • Maintain detailed financial trackers, reporting tools, and operational documentation to support visibility across the account team.
  • Partner closely with account leadership, finance, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of payment and operational workflows.
  • Serve as a key operational point of contact, helping ensure the account runs efficiently and effectively across moving pieces.
  • Support planning and operations across scoping, budgeting, and procurement workflows.
  • Operate with transparency, always escalating the appropriate issues, while maintaining a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Ability and willingness to challenge the status quo to find new opportunities to make the team more effective and efficient.
  • Experienced and finds joy in financial analysis, data management and related software (MS Excel, project leadership software, database applications, etc.)
  • Prepare status documents and budget reporting, using Word, Excel spreadsheets, or presentation software.
  • Looking for a self-starter who works well with others, is solution-oriented, and shows leadership and innovation working with data and reporting assignments.
  • Expected to handle confidential information regarding leadership and financials with integrity.
  • Enjoys working independently, while contributing to a larger team.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 2+ years relevant experience with preferred 2 years of direct experience in business operations and project/process management (preferably in the sports or entertainment field).
  • Working knowledge of project management fundamentals who understands agency workflows and inter-office operations.
  • Flexibility and knowledge to work with and understand objectives of clients across different global regions, areas of the sports and entertainment ecosystem including sports teams, leagues, rights holders, entertainment companies, and brands.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Reader and standard office equipment; however advanced skills in Excel is preferred. CRM experience highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Analytical, organizational, project management and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Superior interpersonal skills and be able to create a rapport with people of all demographics.
  • High level of initiative and works well independently and in a team environment.
  • Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction.
  • Requires self-management, including the ability to ability to assess a situation and quickly implement solutions.
  • Must be able to multi-task in fast-paced environment and be flexible enough to react under stressful circumstances.
