We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team.
The Maintenance Technician routinely performs preventative maintenance on all equipment and components to ensure the continued safe, efficient, and effective operations of equipment used in the facility. This position also assists with maintaining parts inventory, organizing, and maintaining the maintenance shop, diagnosing equipment malfunctions and performing repairs. This position must be able to take a proactive approach to preventative maintenance to improve equipment reliability and lifespan.
Responsibilities
  • Complete routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on standardized equipment.
  • Respond promptly to production requests involving equipment malfunctions and production line breakdowns.
  • Assist in maintaining an organized maintenance shop and adequate parts inventory.
  • Document completed work, including maintenance logs, reports, and procedures.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Production, Warehouse, Quality, and other departments regarding maintenance priorities, project status, and equipment needs.
  • Participate in training, retraining, continuous improvement initiatives, and process improvement activities.
  • Ensure the facility is maintained in accordance with housekeeping standards and company guidelines.
  • Operate, monitor, and perform basic maintenance on plant boiler systems in accordance with applicable regulations, safety procedures, and operating standards.
  • Maintain boiler operating logs and assist with inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Follow all safety policies, work rules, and regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned or apparent.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, follow standardized work processes, and adhere to safe work practices within a continuous improvement culture.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.

  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed, including on short notice.
  • Ability to successfully complete forklift, boom lift, and scissor lift certification training.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Education and Experience
  • Associate degree or two-year technical degree in a maintenance-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must obtain and maintain the required Boiler Engineer License within 12 months of hire. The company will provide and pay for training and support to assist employees in obtaining the license. Failure to obtain the required license within the specified timeframe may affect continued eligibility for the position.
  • Two years of Maintenance Technician experience preferred.
  • Knitting machine and sewing machine experience preferred.
  • Basic electrical knowledge preferred.
