Game Guide Position

This is a brand new location in Heritage Marketplace! The store is not currently open and is expected to open in late July 2026. Hours available: up to 30-35 hours per week. Employment type: non-exempt, hourly. Schedule: primarily nights, weekends, and holidays. Some benefits are only available for full-time team members.

The role

Game Guides at The Escape Game are world-class hospitality experts who are genuinely delighted to anticipate each individual guest's needs, enthusiastically serve them, and do whatever it takes to make their day!

As a Game Guide, you'll lead guests through our immersive escape rooms, where players work together to complete a mission (and escape a themed room) before time runs out.

What you'll do

  • Guest experience: ask open-ended questions to encourage fun, friendly conversation among groups of 2-12 guests
  • Deliver upbeat, conversational introductions
  • Deliver an engaging recap of the experience in the outro
  • Resolve service failures immediately and graciously
  • Ensure each guest has a five-star experience and leaves happy
  • Shift operations & team support: use Game Guide software to monitor games and assist guests
  • Use HMI (Human-Machine Interface) to operate our games
  • Ensure game components function properly
  • Use setup sheets to accurately reset games
  • Clean our games and facility
  • Exemplify excellent time management to stay on schedule for the games assigned to you
  • Restock inventory
  • Complete necessary reports

Growth & career progression

Team members who excel in these areas can grow very quickly and may be eligible for advancement into leadership and management roles. Team members can grow into an Assistant Manager in Training role as quickly as 3-6 months from your hire date. Further growth can lead to a GM role either in your current store or relocating to a new city as TEG opens new stores across the country!

Requirements

  • Flexible availability. This role often works nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Ability to handle physical activity such as deep cleaning, painting, standing, crawling, bending, lifting 30-40 lbs, and minor game repairs.
