Job description

TBest Services Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Kitting Specialist / Kits Task Organizer to support one of our clients in the electro-mechanical and industrial manufacturing industry.

This role is responsible for preparing complete, accurate build-ready kits by collecting, organizing, counting, and packaging all required parts, hardware, components, and documentation for assembly builds. Instead of assemblers searching for materials, the Kitting Specialist ensures everything is verified, organized, and ready before production begins.

This position plays an important role in improving production flow, reducing errors, supporting inventory accuracy, minimizing delays, and maintaining manufacturing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick and organize parts according to Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and revisions for accuracy
  • Count, package, and organize fasteners, hardware, wiring, connectors, PCBs, and sub-components
  • Prepare consumables such as labels, heat shrink, terminals, zip ties, and related materials
  • Include all required documentation, including work instructions, revision sheets, diagrams, and build documents
  • Stage kits in designated production areas for assembly teams
  • Work closely with Purchasing, Warehouse, Inventory, and Assembly teams
  • Perform inventory checks and report shortages, discrepancies, or missing materials
  • Maintain clean, organized kitting and staging areas
  • Support ERP system accuracy when pulling, issuing, or tracking materials
  • Help reduce production delays caused by missing, incorrect, or incomplete parts

Required Qualifications

  • ERP system experience is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to communicate shortages, discrepancies, and material issues clearly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in electro-mechanical or industrial manufacturing
  • Familiarity with fasteners and hardware identification, such as M3, M4, and related components
