OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Inventory Specialist will be a generalist with both analytical and intuitive skills. This position is highly energetic requiring significant multi-tasking skills. The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for Inventory management including shipping, receiving, stock location, stock levels, etc. as well as support test equipment needs. They will also need to be hands-on and willing to work all areas in the shop environment including inventory, kitting, shipping, and receiving and key responsibilities listed below. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail oriented, and eager to learn.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • All receiving and shipping activities and related documentation requirements.
  • Maintain inventory room and receiving dock in neat and orderly manner.
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions for inventory, receiving, and shipping.
  • Responsible for picking parts for sub-assembly planning, kitting strategies, event timing, & sequencing.
  • Transport parts throughout facility (i.e., from dock to inventory room, inventory room to quality lab, inventory room to production floor, etc.).
  • Scan and file documentation.
  • Assist in physical inventory count, including cycle counts.
  • Manage and maintain janitorial supplies, office supplies, and shop supplies.
  • Learn & understand of our current ERP system, Quantum Control
  • All other duties assigned by manager
Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates in Purchasing, Manufacturing, Material Management, or Equivalent
  • 4 years minimum of applicable experience
  • Familiarity with UPS and FEDEX shipping requirements
  • Understanding of bar coding & scanning
  • Work and collaborate in a team environment in a multifaceted organizations
  • Demonstrated success in planning and inventory roles
  • Have problem solving, organizational skills as well as written & oral communications skills
  • U.S. Citizen, no dual citizenship allowed

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in inventory management techniques & strategies for a high mix/low volume environment
  • Aerospace Experience
  • Desirable software capabilities such as Quantum Control (Oracle based ERP System), QuickBooks, Microsoft Office

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND VISUAL DEMANDS

  • Standard office environment; occasional exposure to manufacturing noise/temperature, requiring PPE.
  • Frequent speaking, listening, and computer use.
  • Vision requirements include depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
