POSITION SUMMARY:
The Kitchen Assistant Manager assists the Kitchen Manager in the oversight of daily Kitchen operations and provides leadership and direction to achieve profitable Kitchen operations. The Kitchen Assistant Manager is to assist the Kitchen Manager continually grow the team's capacity for efficiency, effectiveness, and service to meet the company's succession needs. The Kitchen Assistant Manager is to be a role model of the company by driving results while maintaining company core values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Assist the Kitchen Manager with preparing the weekly sales and labor projections for the Kitchen department in order to maximize sales and profits;
  • Assist with preparing a weekly schedule based on projected sales and workload;Maintain inventory levels;
  • Complete opening and closing duties as assigned;
  • Assist with monitoring the quality of prepared food;
  • Clearly communicates and enforces standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, Kitchen conditions and food safety to all team members;
  • Ensure shelves are organized with product labels;
  • Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers, responding to customer inquiries and complaints;
  • Provides flexibility by helping in any area in order to support the store needs.

Customer Service:
  • Demonstrates personal Customer Service excellence. Engages with customers always;
  • Improves speed and efficiency of service provided.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Valid Food Handlers Card;
  • Customer Service and retail experience desirable.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK CONDITIONS:
The physical demands and work conditions below represent those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Some requirements may be modified to accommodate individuals with disabilities:
  • WALKING: Continuously, throughout shift, while moving about the store and handling merchandise.
  • STANDING: Continuously, throughout shift.
  • LIFTING: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
