Job Summary
Fairview Skilled Rehab & Nursing Home is seeking a dependable and experienced Cook to prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, maintains high sanitation standards, and takes pride in providing excellent service in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus, recipes, and dietary requirements.

  • Follow therapeutic and modified diets as directed by the Dietary Department.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen in accordance with health and safety regulations.

  • Properly store, label, and rotate food items.

  • Assist with food preparation, meal service, and kitchen cleanup.

  • Monitor food quality, temperatures, and portion control.

  • Work collaboratively with the dietary team to ensure timely meal service.

Qualifications

  • Previous cooking experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, hospital, or commercial kitchen preferred.

  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and infection control practices.

  • Ability to prepare meals in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.

  • Reliable, organized, and able to work as part of a team.

  • Excellent time management and communication skills.

  • Food Handler's Certification is a plus.
