Job Summary
Fairview Skilled Rehab & Nursing Home is seeking a dependable and experienced Cook to prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, maintains high sanitation standards, and takes pride in providing excellent service in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus, recipes, and dietary requirements.
Follow therapeutic and modified diets as directed by the Dietary Department.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Properly store, label, and rotate food items.
Assist with food preparation, meal service, and kitchen cleanup.
Monitor food quality, temperatures, and portion control.
Work collaboratively with the dietary team to ensure timely meal service.
Qualifications
Previous cooking experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, hospital, or commercial kitchen preferred.
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and infection control practices.
Ability to prepare meals in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
Reliable, organized, and able to work as part of a team.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
Food Handler's Certification is a plus.
