Job Brief: We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Kitchen Expeditor to join our dynamic team at a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant in the heart of Hollywood. As the expeditor, you are the critical link between the front and back of house, ensuring that orders are accurate, food is plated correctly, and dishes leave the kitchen in a timely manner. This role requires a sharp eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to perform under pressure in a high-energy environment. Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the flow of orders from the kitchen to the dining room
  • Ensure all food orders are completed to spec, plated correctly, and meet quality standards before leaving the kitchen
  • Communicate effectively with line cooks, chefs, and servers to ensure timely and accurate order delivery
  • Prioritize and time the release of dishes so they are delivered hot and fresh
  • Handle last-minute changes and special requests efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and organized expo line and pass-through window
  • Monitor ticket times and escalate delays to kitchen leadership as needed
  • Act as a quality control checkpoint-verifying presentation, portion size, and order accuracy
