Northbay Kitchen & Bath is an award-winning luxury design-build showroom specializing in high-end residential kitchen and bathroom remodels throughout Sonoma County. Our team partners with homeowners from the initial design consultation through product selection and construction, creating beautiful, functional kitchen & Bath spaces that reflect each client's lifestyle.

We're looking for an experienced Lead Kitchen & Bath Designer who combines strong design expertise with outstanding client relationship skills. This is an opportunity to take ownership of luxury residential projects from concept through completion while working with premium cabinetry lines, high-end finishes, and a collaborative construction team.

What You'll Do

As our Lead Kitchen & Bath Designer, you'll guide homeowners through one of the biggest investments they'll make in their home. You'll combine creative design, technical expertise, and relationship-building to deliver an outstanding client experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Meet with homeowners to understand their vision, goals, lifestyle, and budget.
  • Conduct on-site field measurements for kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects.
  • Design functional and visually stunning kitchen and bathroom layouts.
  • Create detailed cabinetry designs using 20/20 Design Software.
  • Develop permit-ready design drawings.
  • Guide clients through selections including:
  • Cabinetry
  • Countertops
  • Plumbing fixtures
  • Tile
  • Flooring
  • Hardware
  • Lighting
  • Finishes
  • Present design concepts and revisions to clients.
  • Prepare project estimates and cabinetry orders.
  • Coordinate closely with our in-house construction team throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build long-term relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.
  • Stay current on industry trends, products, and design innovations.


What We're Looking For

We're searching for someone who enjoys working directly with homeowners and has the confidence to lead clients through both the design and purchasing process.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Kitchen & Bath design experience (5+ years preferred)
  • Interior Design Degree
  • Experience designing custom kitchens and bathrooms
  • Proficiency with 20/20 Design Software
  • Experience creating cabinetry layouts and placing cabinetry orders
  • Experience performing field measurements
  • Strong understanding of residential remodeling and construction
  • Excellent communication and client presentation skills
  • Strong consultative sales ability
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interior Design degree or related education
  • NKBA certification
  • Experience creating permit-ready drawings
  • AutoCAD or Chief Architect, sketch-up experience
  • Luxury residential remodeling experience
  • Experience working in a design-build environment
