Job description

Come to work with a view of Lake Tahoe right from your operatory! We are a busy practice looking to hire a great Dental Assistant to work M-W. You can enjoy a great work-life balance with this schedule. We offer competitive compensation for qualified candidates. Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures (RDA - permitted table of duties)
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take digital dental X-rays (CA license required)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records (vital signs etc)
- Make chart notes during exam and treatment
- Open Dental experience is helpful but not required (will train)
- Follow aseptic techniques to ensure infection control
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care


Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Dental Assistant
- Proficiency in OSHA & HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy
- Experience with dental coding and billing procedures is helpful but not required
- Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to take quality digital dental X-rays


Skills:
- 4 handed dentistry
- iTero scanning is helpful but not required will train
- Patient communication- setting patients at ease during treatment
- Team player with strong communication skills is a must (ability to speak Spanish is a plus!)
