Job description

Kinetic Personnel Group is currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a precision manufacturing operation in Tustin. This position is ideal for a hands-on machinist who is confident with CNC machine setups, understands precision machining, and can independently troubleshoot issues on the shop floor. The successful candidate will work with 5-axis and horizontal CNC equipment, handling machine setups, tooling, inspections, and process adjustments to support the production of high-quality, tight-tolerance components. What You'll Do Prepare CNC machines for production by installing fixtures, tooling, probes, and required workholding. Set up and run 5-axis and horizontal machining centers. Complete tool touch-offs, work offsets, and necessary machine adjustments. Review engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T requirements, and process documentation. Perform first-piece, first-article, and in-process inspections to verify part quality. Use precision inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges. Identify and resolve machining problems and make adjustments to improve part quality. Make appropriate program or offset adjustments when needed. Partner with CNC programmers and production personnel to improve machining processes and cycle times. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following established quality and safety standards. What We're Looking For At least 3 years of CNC machine setup experience. Strong hands-on experience with Mori Seiki CNC equipment. Experience with 5-axis machining preferred. Previous experience setting up and operating horizontal machining centers is required. Ability to confidently read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Solid understanding of GD&T and precision machining principles. Experience producing tight-tolerance parts. Proficiency using precision measurement tools. Familiarity with Mori or Fanuc controls. CNC lathe setup experience is a plus. Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work. Location: Tustin, CA Pay: $33.00–$38.00 per hour Schedule: Full-Time KPG123
