Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Production Planner / Scheduler to support manufacturing operations by developing, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders. This role is responsible for aligning customer demand, material availability, and production capacity using Epicor Kinetic ERP and MRP tools.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and possess strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with experience in mixed-mode manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities not limited to:
  • Develop, maintain, and adjust detailed production schedules across multiple product lines.
  • Utilize Epicor Kinetic ERP (MRP and Job Scheduling) to create, release, and monitor manufacturing jobs and schedules.
  • Coordinate inventory planning and production capacity to support customer demand and forecast requirements.
  • Partner with customer service and sales teams to communicate order status and delivery commitments.
  • Work closely with purchasing to ensure material availability aligns with production schedules.
  • Monitor daily production schedule adherence and proactively adjust plans due to changing demand, material shortages, or capacity constraints.
  • Identify and escalate bottlenecks, shortages, or operational issues impacting production flow and delivery timelines.
  • Generate and distribute scheduling, inventory, and delivery performance reports using ERP systems, Excel, and BI tools.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators including on-time delivery, schedule attainment, expedited orders, and capacity utilization.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to production planning, ERP optimization, and operational efficiency.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration between manufacturing, supply chain, customer service, and sales teams.

Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing operations, or supply chain management.
  • Experience in mixed-mode manufacturing environments (make-to-order and make-to-stock).
  • Proficiency with Epicor Kinetic ERP (2025.1 preferred) or similar ERP/MRP systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience utilizing reporting and business intelligence tools.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments including production, purchasing, sales, and customer service.
  • APICS/CPIM certification preferred but not required.
  • Ability to travel if needed
