Kinaxis Solution Consultant / Solution ArchitectRole Summary

A Kinaxis Solution Consultant / Solution Architect designs, configures, and delivers endtoend supply chain planning solutions using Kinaxis RapidResponse or Kinaxis Maestro. The role blends functional supply chain expertise, technical configuration, and clientfacing consulting, ensuring that organizations optimize demand, supply, inventory, and S&OP processes. The architect leads solution design, while the consultant supports configuration, testing, training, and adoption.

 
Core Responsibilities1. Solution Design & Architecture

  • Lead design of supply chain planning solutions across modules such as Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Capacity Planning, S&OP, ATP, Inventory, etc.

  • Architect scalable planning solutions integrating business objectives, best practices, and Kinaxis platform capabilities.

  • Review and validate technical specifications, data models, and integration approaches.

2. Requirements Gathering & Business Analysis

  • Conduct deepdive discovery sessions to understand customer business processes and planning challenges.

  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution configurations.

3. Configuration & Implementation

  • Configure Kinaxis RapidResponse/Maestro modules to meet business process requirements.

  • Resolve complex data, analytics, and configuration issues to ensure accurate planning outputs.

  • Develop reusable components, scripts, and tools to accelerate delivery.

4. Integration & Data Management

  • Support data integration activities, including master data (Material, BOM, Routings, Vendor/Customer Master) and transactional data alignment.

  • Guide IT teams on integration strategy, performance optimization, and platform capabilities.

5. Testing, Validation & Quality Assurance

  • Lead or support unit testing, endtoend testing, UAT, and defect triage.

  • Ensure solution quality, scalability, and alignment with architecture standards.

6. Training, Change Management & Client Enablement

  • Train end users on configured solutions and create user manuals and documentation.

  • Mentor junior consultants and support knowledge transfer.

7. Client Engagement & Advisory

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through planning best practices and solution adoption.

  • Benchmark customer processes against industry trends and recommend improvements.

 
Required Skills & QualificationsFunctional Expertise

  • Strong understanding of supply chain planning: Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Capacity Planning, S&OP, Inventory, MRP/MPS, Production Scheduling.

  • Experience with manufacturing, production planning, or demand management roles (5+ years typical).

Technical Skills

  • Handson experience configuring multiple Kinaxis modules (RapidResponse or Maestro).

Certifications

  • Kinaxis Solution Consultant Level 1+ or Author/Contributor certification preferred or required depending on role.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and clientfacing consulting skills.

  • Analytical problemsolving and ability to diagnose complex issues across data, configuration, and integration layers.

Education

  • BS/MS in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related fields.
