Job description

Objectives:  Responsible for inventory accuracy, overseeing receiving, kitting, stocking components, and supervising stockroom department.
 
Essential Functions:
  • In charge of overseeing stockroom employees, assigning daily activities, and performing the administrative duties as supervisor. 
  • In charge of all incoming (from receiving) and outgoing (to production) parts and materials. 
  • In charge of kitting parts for jobs and making sure that these kits are provided to the wireroom or production floor by due dates.
  • Maintaining shelving and proper storage of all parts.  
  • Making sure that all of the parts are put away in a timely fashion.
  • Issuing materials to jobs on time, correctly.
  • Cycle counts on an ongoing basis, preferably weekly or bi-monthly.  
  • Making adjustments to inventory as needed and keeping accurate records of adjustments.
  • Tracking shortages and providing buyers with the necessary updated information as well as supplying production with shortage materials. 
  • Making sure deviation changes are done, if necessary, and adjustments from NCR’s.
  • Maintaining the role of a leader in the Year-End Inventory count.
  • Making sure all necessary adjustments are done for Month-End.
  • Run stockroom production schedule on a daily basis.
  • Have all inventory items pulled and to shipping on a daily basis, as needed.
  • Perform research on any inventory issues.
  • Keeping  Purchasing Manager updated on all important changes that are being implemented and maintain communication.
  • Providing customer service to all departments at KimCo Design and Manufacturing.
  • Providing training on an ongoing basis to the stockroom team
  • Attending Supervisors meetings or other meetings, as needed.
  • Have Safety meetings with the stockroom team on an as needed basis .
  • Communicating all vital information or changes in processes or procedures with stockroom team or others when something has changed or is changing.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ability to work efficiently, to multi-task, to prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work well with others and be a team player.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively perform the Key Results Areas with minimum supervision and without posing a direct safety threat to others or self.
  • Ability to keep the stockroom clean and orderly at all times.
  • Work in a team spirit with the buying group, production, and all other personnel. 
  • Supervisor or manager experience.
  • Excel and Word experience required.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
