Job description

YW Calgary occasionally is able to accommodate enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Childcare Practicum Students. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a nurturing environment, where you will work alongside experienced educators to support the growth and development of young children. You will engage in various activities that promote learning through play, foster social skills, and create a safe, welcoming atmosphere for all children. Ideal candidates are passionate about early childhood education, possess strong communication skills, and are eager to learn and contribute to our vibrant community.   • Meet expectations particular to course requirements

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • A clear Police Information Check including the Vulnerable Sector search is required upon commencement
  • Current enrollment in an Early Childhood Education Program (Level 1, 2 or 3)
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Basic First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Understanding of Child Development 
  • Communication skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with children, families and staff
  • Flexibility and adaptability. Ability to adapt to various situations and respond to diverse needs of children in a childcare setting
