What is needed for this job as our Kid Zone Supervisor:

  • 18+ years of age

  • 2+ years of experience working in child care - does not have to be professional

  • Possess leadership skills or experience

  • Are able to perform life saving skills in First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen (training provided)

The responsibilities we will trust you with as our Kid Zone Supervisor:

  • Maintaining a fun, safe, and clean environment for children to play and learn

  • Offers assistance to co-workers; frees hands to help others

  • Asks the children questions and builds on that information during subsequent visits

  • Greets parents with a smile; learns their names whenever possible; asks parents open-ended questions and builds on that information during subsequent visits

  • Consistently greets parents at pick-up with positive feedback about their children, even if the ensuing negative feedback is necessary; ends the conversation with an affirmation 

  • Interacts with co-workers and members respectfully

  • Vigilantly monitor the children and their environment

  • Prevention of risk, bullying, and misbehavior 

  • Communicates with the team on duty to prioritize the current tasks at hand

  • Follows all opening/closing procedures - without direction from the Lead - when working during opening/closing shifts

  • Attends required organizational and departmental meetings

  • Demonstrates a willingness to further understand child development concepts and/or behavior management skills through materials provided by Supervisor
