A Day in the Life:
The Key Account Manager - Northeast is responsible for retaining, acquiring, and increasing revenues from Fortune 100/500 accounts within a designated portfolio in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. This role specializes in developing customized domestic and global mobility solutions for our top corporate accounts. This role leads some of the most visible and strategic accounts within the Eastern US Region. The revenue generation will exceed $20.0M in 2026 and the top priority will be driving quality revenue growth through market share gains and new partnership acquisition.
This role provides on target earning potential of $110,000-130,000, which is inclusive a quarterly bonus plan and company vehicle for business and personal use.
What You'll Do:
  • Manage and grow rental revenue and market share across a portfolio of key domestic and international accounts through strategic account management and mobility solutions
  • Develop and execute proactive sales strategies that increase rentals, revenue, profitability, contribution margins, and overall EBITDA performance within assigned accounts
  • Negotiate contract renewals and strengthen relationships with designated Hertz accounts and key stakeholders to protect and expand existing business, improve account penetration, and maintain preferred supplier status
  • Build relationships with competitive target accounts and third-party stakeholders-including TMCs, booking and expense tool providers, fleet companies, and other industry partners-to drive new business opportunities and strengthen Hertz's market position
  • Identify and capitalize on cross-selling opportunities to expand non-traditional business segments and increase revenue within the assigned account portfolio
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners, including Sales Support, Operations, and other cross-functional teams, to deliver customer-focused solutions and achieve business objectives
  • Manage account-related processes, projects, administrative responsibilities, and day-to-day activities while utilizing company software, applications, and reporting tools to support business performance
  • Support and promote a culture of open-mindedness, collaboration, and partnership across all levels and departments of the organization
  • Create, develop, and manage processes, projects, and initiatives that improve account performance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field required
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing a portfolio of large accounts, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales objectives over an extended period
  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to think strategically, analyze complex situations, make sound decisions, and maintain a big-picture perspective
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, networking, influencing, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions, locations, and external partners
  • Proficiency with PC applications and CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce or similar tools; service industry experience preferred
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with excellent time management, prioritization, and project management skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a goal-oriented environment
