Staying adaptable and proactive helps Key Managers navigate shifting priorities and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.

What degree do you need to be a key manager?

A key manager typically needs at least a high school diploma or equivalent; however, many employers prefer candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field. Relevant experience, leadership skills, and certifications can also be important for this role.

This role is an overlay position that works alongside the Account Executive to increase wallet share, expand into new divisions and locations, and strengthen executive-level relationships.

  • Strong relationship-building and executive communication skills
  • Demonstrated success expanding revenue within existing customers
  • Strategic planning and organizational skills. Experience working with multi-location or decentralized organizations
