Job description

Retrofête is seeking a Logistics and Operations Intern to join their Operations Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic Intern to assist the operations team with all responsibilities as it pertain to the role and will report to the Logistics Team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the Team: Assist in daily administrative tasks, scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and managing correspondence.
  • Inventory Management: Help track and analyze inventory levels, ensuring accurate data entry and supporting inventory audits.
  • Data Analysis: Compile and analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Order Processing: Assist in processing and monitoring purchase orders, shipments, and deliveries to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
  • Communication: Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to address shipping discrepancies, resolve issues, and streamline communication.
  • Project Support: Contribute to logistics projects, including process optimization, cost reduction initiatives, and system implementations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and logistics processes. Assist in preparing documentation for customs and compliance.
  • Research: Conduct research on logistics best practices, market trends, and potential new vendors or carriers.
  • Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular reports on key logistics metrics, such as shipping accuracy, on-time deliveries, and inventory discrepancies.
