Job description

Our client is Michigan's leading educational furniture dealer, serving schools and learning environments across the state.
As a Furniture Installer, you'll help deliver, assemble, and install educational furniture. This is a hands‑on, team‑oriented role that requires physical work, attention to detail, and a professional attitude while working directly with customers.

Job Functions:
  • Deliver, stage, assemble, and install furniture on‑site
  • Load and unload furniture, equipment, and materials
  • Use hand tools such as cordless drills and socket sets
  • Read installation paperwork and furniture plans
  • Communicate with your job lead and teammates throughout the day
  • Represent the company professionally at customer locations
  • Follow all safety procedures and company standards

NOTE: Out of town and out of state travel is required, especially in the summer when schools are getting their furniture updated. Can be just a day or up to a week or more depending on the job.


Qualifications

Skills and Abilities:
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Preferred: Experience installing or assembling furniture (training available)
  • Carpentry or mechanical experience is a plus
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Occasional evenings, weekends, and overnight travel (1-2 weeks max)

Level of Education/Training/License:
  • High school diploma or GED
