Position Summary:
The Food Runner is responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately, ensuring a smooth flow of service and a high-quality dining experience. This position works closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to support the front-of-house operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Promptly deliver food and beverages to guests' tables as prepared by the kitchen.
  • Ensure all items are presented properly, according to restaurant standards.
  • Confirm food orders are complete and correct before leaving the kitchen.
  • Assist in explaining dishes to guests if needed (e.g., ingredients, sides, temperature).
  • Delivers food to the correct person at the correct table.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen expo line and service areas.
  • Support servers by refilling drinks, clearing dishes, and responding to guest needs when possible.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and waitstaff to ensure efficient service.
  • Assist in resetting tables and maintaining a clean dining area.
  • Handle food with care, following all health and safety guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Prior restaurant or hospitality experience preferred, but not required.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
