This role is responsible for delivering exceptional client service, coordinating account administration, ensuring regulatory compliance, identifying opportunities to deepen client relationships, and collaborating across the organization to provide comprehensive financial solutions.The Institutional Associate manages complex client relationships representing significant assets under administration while balancing client experience, operational excellence, risk management, and business development objectives.About This Role:1. Client Relationship ManagementServe as the primary contact for an assigned portfolio of institutional client relationships.Build trusted relationships with clients through proactive communication and exceptional service.Conduct recurring client meetings to review account activity, financial objectives, service needs, and future opportunities.Anticipate client needs and provide thoughtful recommendations that improve the client experience.Coordinate internal resources to deliver comprehensive wealth management solutions.Develop strong working relationships with client executives, finance personnel, trustees, benefit administrators, and board members.Maintain high levels of client satisfaction while supporting long-term relationship retention.2. Account AdministrationAdminister a diverse portfolio of institutional accounts, including pension, custody, investment management, trusts, foundations, endowments, escrow, and employee benefit relationships.Execute transactions accurately and timely.Monitor cash balances, distributions, contributions, and investment funding requirements.Review daily account activity for completeness and accuracy.Maintain accurate documentation within approved systems of record.Coordinate annual administrative reviews.Ensure account documentation remains current throughout the relationship lifecycle.Develop and maintain ticklers for recurring account activity.Coordinate client onboarding and account transitions.3. Risk Management & ComplianceEnsure compliance with bank policies, fiduciary standards, OCC regulations, BSA/AML requirements, and applicable laws.Identify operational and fiduciary risks within assigned relationships.Resolve documentation deficiencies and compliance exceptions promptly.Prepare accounts for internal audits, regulatory examinations, and quality reviews.Escalate significant risk matters to management as appropriate.Maintain thorough documentation supporting all client interactions and account activity.4. Business DevelopmentIdentify opportunities to expand existing client relationships through additional Wealth Management and Bank services.Partner with Relationship Managers, Investment Officers, Commercial Bankers, Treasury Management, and other internal partners to deliver integrated solutions.Support new business implementations and relationship transitions.Participate in client presentations, proposal development, and business development activities.Assist in maintaining long-term relationship profitability through appropriate pricing, service levels, and fee administration.5. Operational ExcellenceRecommend and implement process improvements that improve efficiency and enhance the client experience.Monitor service standards to ensure timely execution of client requests.Review account fees and resolve discrepancies.Support department projects, technology implementations, and operational initiatives.Assist with system testing and workflow enhancements.Participate in business continuity planning and operational risk reduction initiatives.6.
