POSITION SUMMARY:

This position works closely with the analysis, development, design and implementation of comprehensive management information systems and/or integrated sub-systems. This position will specifically support Kentico web content management software using .NET and C# programming languages. It will also support Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, One Drive, Power Apps, Power BI and Power Automate.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific duties include:

  • Directing the activities of assigned ITS and contract personnel in the planning, scheduling and implementation of a comprehensive management information system to address the needs of the Department;
  • Consulting with customers to gather information and determine requirements for implementation of comprehensive management information systems;
  • Coordinating implementation of changes recommended by project teams and the development of corollary training or support for systems implementation;
  • Conducting major systems studies to determine requirements for implementation of a comprehensive management information system;
  • Scheduling assigned data center personnel and equipment to ensure proper implementation and operation of the system;
  • Assuring completeness and accuracy of the systems design, programming and implementation;
  • Writing, testing, debugging, implementing, and documenting software;
  • Following project steps as defined in ITS's structured development methodology when developing or modifying software; and
  • Completing system, operations, and user documentation for all assigned projects prior to final implementation.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of computer programming and systems analysis and design principles and practices;
  • Knowledge of relation database technologies and techniques, including SQL;
  • Knowledge of mathematics;
  • Ability to process information logically;
  • Ability to identify and define user task needs;
  • Ability to conduct short range and long-range project planning studies;
  • Ability to write technical data processing reports;
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations; and
  • Ability to communicate effectively.

BACKGROUND:

FDLE requires an extensive background process of all recommended applicants.
