Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the complete care of Parsonage buildings, equipment and landscaping


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Mowing, weeding, edging, fertilizing, insect treatment and watering of parsonage property.
  • Tree trimming.
  • Maintain landscaping, flower gardens, shrubs, vegetable gardens, orchards, etc.
  • Operate light duty equipment.
  • Maintenance of landscape equipment.
  • Installment and maintenance of plant materials (trees, grass, shrubs, bedding, etc) and hardscape (walls, edging, etc)
  • Repair and maintenance of parsonage property, outbuildings and grounds.
  • Miscellaneous labor (such as cleaning porches, walkways, driveways, garages, boats soffits, trash removal, etc)




Requirements:

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years’ experience


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of maintenance and installing irrigation systems.
  • Working knowledge of soil and lawn conditions.
  • Able to work alone with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Available on call 24 hours a day

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:

  • Tractors, mowers, edger’s, weed-eaters, saws and various hand tools.


TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Able to lift 75 to 100 pounds
  • Able to work in extreme weather conditions (hot/cold)

TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Produce quality work and accept changes in production and timelines.
  • Keep an eye on all plants for health conditions and determine watering, fertilizer and chemical applications schedule.


WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Indoors and Outdoors
