Kellogg is looking to bring out the tiger in you by utilizing your skill set troubleshooting, repairing, and collaborating on electrical components! In this role you will partner with Operations, Quality Food Safety, and Environmental Health and Safety personnel as you keep the plant and production running. You will act as a problem-solver who helps our company maintain a strong reputation and market share!

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Maintaining Equipment and Utilizing Your PLC Knowledge - You will be alternating in between troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and on the spot machine repair. You will need a firm focus and understanding of programmable logic controllers and robotics. Candidate must be able to maintain proper documentation, electrical upgrades, and make modifications and improvements.
  • Analyzing Conditions and Providing Solutions - Identifying and examining production equipment failures to understand root cause analysis, with the help of interpreting schematics and drawings. Investigating, analyzing and repairing electrical systems while working with PLC programming and other computer-based applications.
  • Driving Innovation and Communication - Actively improving plant efficiency and identifying cost saving opportunities. While maintaining an open dialogue with Maintenance Supervisors, Maintenance Mechanics and Operators, on day-to-day activities and long-term improvement projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires a State of Michigan Journeyman License along with demonstrated skills in PLCs, power controls, and instrumentation.
  • Strong emphasis on behavior-based safety systems.
  • Good Computer Skills including Office & SAP or ERP Maintenance system required.
  • AutoCAD and SAP experience highly preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Electrical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (Food Manufacturing highly preferred)
  • Sitting, standing, walking, lifting and / or repetitive tasks throughout the day. Employees will be required to occasionally lift up to 50lbs

Hourly Rate: $45.00 Per Hour
