Job description

Immediate openings for manufacturing jobs in Cranberry Township at Kawneer Cranberry, an Arconic Company. $1000 retention bonus!

Production worker positions paying $20.68/hr plus a $1 shift differential for 6pm-6am**. 

**For 12 hour shift, it rotates days on and off, week 1 work 36 hours then week 2 work 48 hours (mandatory overtime can occur on top of this).

Kawneer is a large commercial window manufacturing company who supplies windows and aluminum to companies nationwide. As a member of the Kawneer Cranberry team, you could be assigned different tasks out on our plant floor to help us produce products.

Our Kawneer plant is located in Cranberry Township, PA which is about 30 minutes north of Pittsburgh, PA. This location has continuously built our products here since the early 1970s and we have a long legacy of products we've manufactured including the windows for the crown of the Statue of Liberty. Currently we supply commercial windows and aluminum sticks to companies nationwide. We are easily accessible being surrounding by many major highways as well as have many popular shopping, recreation, and dining options.  

Basic:

  • Must be able to understand and speak English proficiently. 

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. 

Preferred: 

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Warehouse, manufacturing, construction, or other relevant experience for commercial manufacturing

  • Operated mobile equipment including Forklifts, Cranes, Side Loaders

  • JDE, Oracle, or other production software experience

  • Experience completing quality inspections

Vary by department, but a new employee can expect an array of tasks including but not limited to:

  • Having production goals to meet our OTIF and financial metrics

  • Work in varying temperatures with a high amount of repetitive lifting

  • Be around or operate mobile equipment

  • Read and follow all safety rules and regulations, standard operating procedures and quality standards

  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition

  • Complete required paperwork and data entry which can be hardcopy or electronic

  • Wear provided personal protective equipment (hard hat, earplugs, safety glasses, gloves, arm guard sleeves, metatarsal safety shoes, etc)

  • Produce a quality product with attention to detail

  • Ensure orders maintain internal schedule to keep pace to be on time to customer

  • Follow directions from manager and functional lead to complete daily tasks

  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities as needed

  • Measure aluminum extrusions 

  • Check material against orders and visually inspect incoming materials.

  • Other duties as required
