Job description

Job Title: Investment Analyst

Location: New York, NY (In-Person)

Start Date: ASAP

Overview

Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator (ERA) is hiring an Investment Analyst to join our team in New York City. This is a unique opportunity to build hands‑on experience in early‑stage venture capital investing and accelerator operations. As part of both the ERA Accelerator and our affiliated early‑stage venture fund Remarkable Ventures, you’ll gain unparalleled access to founders, operators, and investors shaping the next generation of tech.

About ERA

ERA is one of NYC’s most active early‑stage venture capital firms and a top accelerator program. Since 2011, we’ve backed 350+ companies at the pre‑seed stage and invested in 120+ startups through Seed, Series A, and Series B from our Remarkable Ventures fund.

Our portfolio includes four unicorns (and counting) and has raised more than $2B in follow‑on funding. Our founders are driving innovation across nearly every global industry. Select investments include TripleLift, Thirty Madison, Glia, Katapult, Nayya, Rilla, Scentbird, and many more.

What You’ll Do

The Investment Analyst will join ERA’s investment team. This is a full‑time, in‑person position. The role requires participation in several different investment‑related activities. Investment stages include pre‑seed accelerator investing and early‑stage venture investing in Seed, Series A, and Series B rounds. You’ll work across the full investment lifecycle—from sourcing deals to supporting founders post‑investment.

  • Deal Sourcing & Founder Engagement: Meet with early‑stage founders, evaluate accelerator applicants, and participate in startup interviews.
  • Investment Analysis & Diligence: Support ERA partners in evaluating opportunities—analyzing financials, market positioning, customer references, product demos, and technical architecture. You will present your findings to our investment committee to directly inform decision‑making.
  • Portfolio Reporting & LP Communications: Work directly with ERA’s CFO to develop clear, data‑driven reports on firm performance, portfolio valuations, and company‑level updates. You’ll synthesize insights from board materials and internal data to deliver investor‑ready updates for both Partners and LPs.
  • Portfolio Company Support: Help founders refine investor materials, build financial models, and tackle strategic planning.
  • Ecosystem Building & Networking: Cultivate relationships with top founders, investors, and startup ecosystem stakeholders in NYC and beyond.
What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a sharp, curious, and motivated individual who’s excited to work at the intersection of venture capital and startups. The ideal candidate thrives in fast‑paced environments, is a self‑starter, and brings both analytical rigor and creative thinking to the table.

  • Demonstrated passion for startups, technology, and early‑stage investing
  • Bachelor’s degree required; 1–2 years of relevant work experience preferred
  • Background in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or early‑stage startups is a strong plus
  • Technical, engineering, or product experience is a bonus
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with familiarity using AI tools for research and productivity
  • Proficiency in financial statement analysis and Excel modeling
  • Ability to produce investor‑ready memos, presentations, and reports
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with an obsessive attention to detail
  • Creative problem solver with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically
  • Entrepreneurial mindset—you’ll be part of a small team where taking initiative and contributing ideas is encouraged and expected

We value team players who are intellectually curious, proactive, and energized by the opportunity to work directly with founders and shape early investment decisions.

Why Join ERA?
  • Accelerated Learning Curve – Work across both accelerator and early‑stage investing, gaining direct exposure to hundreds of early‑stage companies.
  • Close‑Knit Team Environment – Collaborate directly with seasoned partners and decision‑makers.
  • Real Impact – Your insights will influence investments and shape the future of ERA’s portfolio.
  • Location & Culture – Work from our Flatiron office alongside dozens of startup founders—right in the heart of NYC tech!
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $75K–$85K base + performance‑based bonus. The specific salary will be commensurate with relevant experience.
  • Full‑time, in‑person position with full health benefits
