Job Description

The Group Account Director, Market Access leads senior client relationships and shapes market access strategy across one or more pharmaceutical accounts. This role connects payer insight, brand strategy, value communications, and cross-functional delivery to drive strong client outcomes and sustainable agency growth. Working closely with Medical Strategy, Creative, Digital, and Content partners, this leader brings clarity to complex business needs and keeps teams aligned on high-impact priorities. Success in this role requires strong managed markets expertise, commercial acumen, and the ability to guide both clients and internal teams with confidence.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 10+ years of healthcare or pharmaceutical agency experience, including senior account leadership on payer, reimbursement, or managed markets business.
  • Proven experience leading market access strategy and deliverables such as value briefs, payer communications, or access-focused brand initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success managing senior client relationships and presenting strategic recommendations to VP- and executive-level internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience owning financial performance for agency business, including scope, forecasting, and P&L management for accounts in the multimillion-dollar range.
  • Track record of leading and developing teams, including direct performance management, coaching, and building growth plans for account talent.

Desired:

  • Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done.
  • Advanced degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related life sciences field, with clear application to client leadership or market access work.
  • Experience integrating digital, omnichannel, or data-informed engagement approaches into market access or managed markets programs.
  • Brand management or commercial strategy experience within life sciences, with exposure to launch, lifecycle, or portfolio planning.
  • New business experience, including contributing to pitch strategy, solution development, and expansion planning within existing accounts
