Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Kaiser Physical Therapy, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Directing physical therapy services to prevent disability, relieve pain, develop, improve, and restore muscle function while ensuring maximum performance in alignment with individualized care plans.
  • Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients’ physical capabilities through diagnostic tests that assess muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities.
  • Formulating and updating personalized rehabilitation plans that accommodate the unique needs and goals of each patient.
  • Overseeing and mentoring Physical Therapy Assistants in executing therapy programs to guarantee adherence to established protocols and quality of care.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to devise comprehensive treatment plans and contribute insights during case conferences for continuous patient monitoring.
  • Administering hands-on therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, traction, and the application of physical agents to enhance recovery processes.
  • Documenting patient progress through clinical records including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and timely submissions.
  • Educating patients and their families in the effective use and care of therapeutic devices and home exercise programs.
  • Participating actively in ongoing professional development and training to continually enhance clinical skills and service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, those managing chronic pain conditions, and patients undergoing rehabilitation for sports injuries. Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution (Doctorate degree preferred).
  • Current and valid physical therapy license in the state of Florida.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in physical therapy, particularly in a rehabilitation or clinical setting.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to make informed, independent decisions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and patient engagement skills to effectively relate to clients and team members.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred:

  • Experience in an acute care or home care setting.
  • Clinical expertise in rehabilitation for age-related conditions and post-surgical recovery.
  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation and patient tracking.
