Procon is seeking a Construction Manager for a long-term opportunity in Downtown Indianapolis, IN. This role supports renovation projects in occupied facilities, with a primary focus on MEP systems (HVAC and controls) and lighting replacements. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of construction management experience managing renovations, mechanical upgrades, and fit-outs for complex organizations such as government agencies, hospitals, or universities, along with strong client communication and project coordination skills.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of construction management, owner's representative, or general contracting experience.
  • Experience managing renovations, HVAC/mechanical upgrades, lighting projects, and tenant fit-outs.
  • Experience working in occupied facilities for government, healthcare, higher education, or similar clients.
  • Proven success managing projects valued at $10M+ preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
  • Experience with cost management, scheduling, quality assurance, and construction administration.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Procore, Kahua, or similar construction management software.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule when project needs require.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Manage renovation, MEP, and lighting replacement projects in occupied facilities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate project schedules, logistics, budgets, and construction activities.
  • Review construction documents, submittals, schedules, and change orders.
  • Monitor construction for quality, safety, code compliance, and contract requirements.
  • Conduct site visits, prepare project documentation, and provide status updates.
  • Support commissioning, project closeout, and overall project delivery.
  • Work primarily days with occasional evening or second-shift support as needed.
