Job description

Snapshot
Kaggle is the world's largest AI and ML developer community with over 5.6 million monthly active users and 30 million registered users. Kaggle is currently evolving from static ML competitions to becoming a trusted industry standard for AI evaluation with community at its heart. As a Senior Product Manager at Kaggle, you will be at the forefront of driving this transformation, leading initiatives across our AI evaluation platform, community growth, and cutting-edge research to define "what works" in the modern AI landscape.
About Us
Artificial Intelligence could be one of humanity's most useful inventions. At Google DeepMind, we're a team of scientists, engineers, machine learning experts and more, working together to advance the state of the art in artificial intelligence. We use our technologies for widespread public benefit and scientific discovery, and collaborate with others on critical challenges, ensuring safety and ethics are the highest priority.
Within Google DeepMind, Kaggle operates as an independent brand with a vital mission: to help the world understand what works (and what doesn't) in AI. We empower a community of researchers, developers, and frontier labs by providing the ultimate arena to learn, build, and evaluate the next generation of AI systems.
The Role
To tackle Kaggle's ambitious mandate, we are expanding our product team with multiple hires. We are looking for action-oriented, "AI native" leaders who can help a team execute efficiently in a highly ambiguous environment. Rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all role, we will align your specific product portfolio with your unique superpowers. Whether your strength lies in building robust developer platforms, scaling global developer communities, or productizing frontier AI research, you will play a pivotal role in redefining how the industry evaluates AI.
Key responsibilities:
  • Lead Product Vision: Drive the strategy and execution for a core pillar of Kaggle's AI evaluation portfolio, whether that is unifying our AI Evals Platform, scaling top-of-funnel growth, or expanding our agent arena offerings.
  • Champion the Developer Experience: Design intuitive, scalable workflows that balance ease-of-access with research-grade quality, enabling developers and researchers to seamlessly publish, test, and rank agentic systems.
  • Scale the Ecosystem: Launch strategic features, integrations, and partnerships that meet developers where they are, expanding Kaggle's reach and influence across the global AI community.
  • Productize the Frontier: Identify emergent AI evaluation trends and novel paradigms, translating them into scalable platform features that act as a "north star" for the industry.
  • Drive Internal & External Impact: Partner cross-functionally with Google teams and external frontier labs to ensure Kaggle's aggregate signals directly inform and accelerate foundation model development.
  • Build Sustainable Systems & Business Models: Address complex platform scaling challenges, such as implementing flexible compute options to support compute-heavy agentic evaluation workloads.
About You
In order to set you up for success as a Senior Kaggle Product Manager at Kaggle within Google DeepMind, we look for the following skills and experience:
Requirements
  • 7+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of successfully shipping and scaling complex, highly technical software products.
  • Deep domain expertise in the modern AI ecosystem, with a hands-on, opinionated understanding of LLMs, agentic frameworks, and current methodologies for model benchmarking and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated experience building developer-facing tools, APIs, SDKs, or platform ecosystems that require an obsession with Developer Experience (DX).
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to define product direction in a fast-moving, novel space.

In addition, the following would be an advantage:
  • Strong existing network or previous experience working directly with top-tier AI labs, research organizations, or open-source AI communities.
  • Expertise in community growth loops and creator-consumer flywheels, including measuring user journeys and scaling developer engagement.
  • Proven success in commercialization or unit economics for large open-source or developer ecosystems.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $192,000 USD - $278,000 USD + bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
Application deadline: March 24, 2026
Note: In the event your application is successful and an offer of employment is made to you, any offer of employment will be conditional on the results of a background check, performed by a third party acting on our behalf. For more information on how we handle your data, please see our Applicant and Candidate Privacy Policy
At Google DeepMind, we value diversity of experience, knowledge, backgrounds and perspectives and harness these qualities to create extraordinary impact. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of sex, race, religion or belief, ethnic or national origin, disability, age, citizenship, marital, domestic or civil partnership status, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, or related condition (including breastfeeding) or any other basis as protected by applicable law. If you have a disability or additional need that requires accommodation, please do not hesitate to let us know.
