Role Summary: As an Integration Specialist at BJU Press, the ideal candidate will play a supporting role on the Educational Technology Development team by coordinating with Ed Tech management to contribute educational technology content and resources to content created by writer teams and to contribute to other Ed Tech projects, communications, and resource creation that help to provide an effective technology experience for both BJU Press team members and customers.

About the Team: The purpose of Educational Technology team is to enable educators and students through innovative technology solutions that enhance learning experiences, foster digital literacy, and prepare students for future success in an increasingly digital world. The Educational Technology Development team seeks to support the mission of BJU Press by infusing technology solutions into the BJU Press content that is developed and by providing digital content through user-friendly platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with writers, biblical worldview specialists, and other Ed Tech specialists to ensure that content produced by Educational Content meets Ed Tech specifications
  • Monitor project progress by regularly checking in on the status of projects and ensuring that deadlines are met
  • Provide guidance and support to team members when they encounter challenges
  • Identify and develop process improvements for team's tasks
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational technologies and apply that knowledge to the team's goals and initiatives
  • Contribute to an internal, monthly Ed Tech newsletter highlighting current resources and trends in educational technology
  • Contribute to additional projects as needed for the Educational Technology Development Department

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES NEEDED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
  • Ability to collaborate with other Educational Technology Development managers and team members
  • Working knowledge of educational technology
  • Understanding of BJU Press educational philosophy
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot educational technology
  • Self-motivated in developing efficient process for continued improvement
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or 5 years of experience
  • Teaching experience in a K-12 school
  • Broad knowledge in educational technology
