DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position plays an important role in ensuring that all incoming and outgoing mail is processed safely within the Security Processing Center. The work supports secure operations across multiple facilities.

As a Corrections Mail Inspector, you will perform the following duties: Mail Inspection: Examine labels, packaging, and tracking details to identify possible security risks Policy Compliance: Verify that mail items follow Department of Corrections mailing rules and report concerns to supervisors Secure Delivery: Coordinate and deliver approved items to various institutional locations Record Keeping: Maintain logs and documentation for all inmate property and processed items Communication Support: Respond to written requests and communicate with staff to ensure smooth operations Interested in learning more. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $40,685.00 (before taxes)

Additional Requirements: Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
