Senior Web Release Engineer
About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Web Release Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing and optimizing release processes across web applications, ensuring smooth deployments, and maintaining high standards of reliability, scalability, and security. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in release engineering tools, automation, and CI/CD pipelines, along with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
  • Own and drive the end-to-end release management process for web applications.
  • Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Looper, Kubernetes, or Concord.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure high-quality and timely releases.
  • Automate repetitive tasks to improve deployment efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Troubleshoot release-related issues, ensuring quick resolution and minimal downtime.
  • Maintain and integrate release workflows with tools like GitHub, Slack, and ServiceNow.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security guidelines, and audit requirements.
  • Provide visibility to leadership on release progress, risks, and dependencies.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in release engineering andautomation.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in Release Engineering, DevOps, or CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with Looper, Kubernetes, or Concord, Grafana Dashboards.
  • Experience in deploying web applications in canary & production environments.
  • Experience performing canary analysis in multiple Azure AZs and able to rollout or rollback.
  • Strong programming/scripting skills in JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Proficiency in ReactJS and modern web development practices.
  • Experience integrating workflows with GitHub, Slack, ServiceNow, or similar tools

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with automation frameworks and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.
  • Previous experience in large-scale, enterprise-grade environments.
  • Strong focus on operational excellence, quality, and continuous improvement.
