This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact on how customers interact with their photos and videos, while growing your technical leadership and driving improvements to development tools and quality processes that enable faster customer value delivery.
Key job responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and optimize device application software to deliver new and improved photos experiences across Amazon devices

A day in the life
Your day begins by reviewing design specifications and collaborating with UX designers to refine the user experience for a new photo memories feature. You'll spend time writing and optimizing code for native device applications, ensuring smooth performance across different device types

Between implementation sessions, you'll participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback to teammates and learning from senior engineers. You'll also dedicate time to mentoring a junior engineer, helping them understand the architecture and best practices. Throughout the day, you'll work closely with product managers and QA engineers to iterate on features, troubleshoot issues, and plan upcoming releases that will delight customers.
About the team
- Our stack is centered around React Native.
- We collaborate actively with product managers, UX designers, device platform, and back-end teams.
- Performance and OS integration are key priorities for us, and our experienced team includes several senior engineers with frontend, mobile, and device development expertise.
- Our code is well tested by automation that our team owns.
