The Role

Position Summary

The Atlanticus Centralized Execution and Standards (ACES) team is responsible for the end-to-end execution, governance, and optimization of marketing campaigns supporting both customer acquisition and existing cardholder engagement across our Credit Card portfolio.

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAS Developer to serve as a technical leader within ACES. This role sits at the center of our marketing execution engine, translating complex marketing strategies into scalable, controlled, and production-ready campaign outputs.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in credit card lifecycle marketing, advanced SAS programming, and large-scale data processing. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring precise audience targeting, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous optimization of campaign performance.


What Success Looks Like

  • Deliver highly accurate, compliant campaign audiences at scale
  • Improve targeting precision and campaign performance through data-driven enhancements
  • Reduce execution cycle times through automation and process improvements within our Martech Stack
  • Strengthen controls, audit readiness, and overall execution quality
  • Primary Responsibilities:
  • Translate lifecycle marketing strategies into detailed technical specifications and executable code
  • Own the end-to-end development of campaign targeting logic, including segmentation, eligibility, and suppression rules
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain advanced SAS programs to generate accurate and compliant target audiences
  • Ensure strong campaign controls, data quality, suppression accuracy, and audit documentation
  • Conduct post-campaign analysis and recommend optimizations to improve performance and ROI
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Risk, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure alignment and execution excellence
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency within our Marketing Technology Stack
  • Serve as a technical lead and mentor to junior developers and campaign execution analysts
  • You’re a great fit if you have:
  • 8–10+ years of advanced SAS development experience in a production environment
  • Extensive experience supporting credit card marketing campaigns
  • Deep expertise in campaign/list generation, segmentation logic, and large-scale data processing
  • Strong understanding of eligibility rules, suppression logic, and regulated marketing environments
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, controls, and data quality
