Position Summary

The Junior Pickleball Coach is responsible for teaching, coaching, and developing junior pickleball players across all skill levels—from beginner to advanced. This role focuses on skill development, sportsmanship, and fostering a safe, positive, and engaging environment for youth players. The Coach will also assist with clinics, events, leagues, and tournaments while promoting Center Court Pickleball’s standards and culture. The ideal candidate has a strong passion for pickleball, experience coaching youth athletes, and the ability to connect with players of varying ages and abilities.

Key Responsibilities

Coaching & Player Development

· Conduct private and group pickleball lessons for junior players of all skill levels

· Develop and lead age-appropriate instructional clinics, drills, and training programs

· Provide constructive feedback, technique instruction & strategic coaching to support player growth

· Evaluate player skill levels and assist with appropriate placement and progression

Program & Event Support

· Assist in organizing and executing junior programs, leagues, tournaments, and special events

· Support player readiness for match play and competitive environments

· Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure consistent instruction and programming

Culture, Safety & Professionalism

· Promote a fun, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants

· Maintain a safe playing environment and enforce facility rules and standards

· Uphold Center Court Pickleball’s policies, procedures, and code of conduct

· Represent the club professionally in all interactions with players, parents, members, and staff

Qualifications

Required

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Certification from a recognized pickleball organization (e.g., PPR, IPTPA)

· Minimum of 3 years of coaching experience in pickleball or a similar sport

· Strong knowledge of pickleball rules, scoring, and gameplay

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with youth and families

Preferred

· Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field

· Experience coaching junior or youth athletes

· Experience organizing or supporting tournaments, clinics, or leagues
