Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Junior Product Analyst to join our team in Newark, NJ. The ideal candidate will support Product Managers and cross-functional teams by analyzing product data, understanding user behavior, gathering requirements, and providing insights to improve product performance and user experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze product data and user behavior to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor key product metrics such as user engagement, adoption, retention, conversion, and feature usage.
  • Assist Product Managers with product research, feature planning, and product roadmap activities.
  • Gather, document, and refine business and product requirements.
  • Assist in creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and product documentation.
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Write basic SQL queries to extract and analyze data.
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback to identify user pain points and improvement opportunities.
  • Support A/B testing, feature analysis, and measurement of new product releases.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, QA teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with market and competitor research.
  • Present findings and actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
Required Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL.
  • Understanding of product metrics and user behavior analysis.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with Mixpanel, Amplitude, or Google Analytics.
  • Basic understanding of A/B testing and experimentation.
  • Knowledge of funnels, conversion, retention, engagement, and user journeys.
  • Basic knowledge of Python is a plus.
