Job description

We are a leading Managed IT Services provider based in San Francisco seeking a User Support & Junior Systems Administrator to join our medium-sized IT support team. This role involves hands-on technical support and system administration for a diverse client base of over 700 users, including administrative staff and C-level executives. The ideal candidate is a technically savvy professional with extensive experience in user support, system maintenance, and network security, capable of working independently and collaboratively to troubleshoot and maintain a variety of platforms and devices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct daily support to users including Admin staff and C-level executives
  • Diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade hardware and computer equipment
  • Manage and configure Windows servers (2016 and newer), MacBooks, and mixed production environments
  • Administer mobile device management solutions (Workspace One, MAS360) and support mobile phones
  • Monitor and update computer networks, establish new networks, and ensure network security
  • Manage backup solutions including Veritas Backup Exec and support hosted services such as Office 365 and Gmail
  • Maintain documentation and inventory for software and equipment issued to users
  • Use Jira Service Management for ticket resolution and asset management
  • Provide customer service and technical coaching to team members

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in IT support and system administration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Windows 7 and newer versions
  • Proficiency in MacBook support
