Job description

Acadiana CARES in conjunction with the Louisiana Office of Public Health STI/HIV/Hepatitis Program (SHHP), is seeking candidates to join our Information Systems team for the critical role of Systems Administrator to work in the SHHP central office in New Orleans. The successful candidate will report to the Health Information Systems Manager and be responsible for the technical administration of the software programs, applications, information system servers and databases used within the program. This role will also provide user level technical support for program staff delivering desktop level support when needed. Additionally, this role inherits the collateral duty of performing equipment inventory, tracking and surplus of SHHP IT hardware and equipment. Up to 25 percent travel to regional SHHP offices housing program staff throughout La. is expected.

Candidates for the position must have Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration or a closely related field (may substitute relevant technical certification plus experience). Public Health information system experience a plus but not required.
