Job description

Amentum is seeking a Systems Engineer Junior to support the Space Force Range Contract Essential Functions:
  • Support the Systems Engineering team in managing and executing systems engineering processes to ensure continuity across the SFRC.

  • Assist in the management of LTRS requirements, including the use of requirements management tools.

  • Support the development and management of architectural documents for the LTRS architecture baselines.

  • Assist in performing architectural analysis at the system and subsystem levels, including assessing impacts to technical baselines.

  • Support the Test & Evaluation (T&E) program by assisting in the planning, execution, and reporting of T&E activities for LTRS modifications and new systems.

  • Assist in performing requirements analysis, decomposition, and allocation from the system level to the component level.

  • Support the development of acquisition documentation (e.g., SOO, SOW, PWS) and assist in Request for Proposal (RFP) development.

  • Provide support for launch operations as required.

  • Though this position does not require frequent travel, the ability to travel is required.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance (requires U.S. citizenship).

  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License.

Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Jama, or DOORS Next Generation.

  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo.

  • Experience with work management tools such as Jira.

  • Familiarity with any aspect of the systems engineering lifecycle (Requirements, Architecture, Test & Evaluation).

  • Previous Range operations support experience.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual starting salary for this position is between $75,000 to $85,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
