Job description

Fayette County Public Schools is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to join our school system. The successful candidate will join a professional organization dedicated to student success. They will be expected to perform duties customary to an elementary school teacher. Those duties include preparing lessons toward mastery of the state standards, collaborating with other faculty, small group instruction, differentiating instruction and providing interventions, working with administrators and coaches to improve performance, monitoring students, and collaborate and communicate with parents and other stakeholders. Developing and administering assessments is also required as well as instructing students in accordance with their IEP's and holding IEP meetings.An active TN teaching license is required for this Special Education position with the proper endorsements for Junior High School Self-Contained classroom. Attendance is an essential function of the job.
